Does federal disaster assistance cover flood damage?

Only if there is a Presidential Disaster Declaration, and historically more than 90% of all disasters are not declared. Flood insurance can pay regardless of whether or not there is a declaration. Even when a flooding disaster is declared, federal assistance is provided as a loan that you must be paid back with interest. A claim against your flood insurance policy could provide more funds for recovery than federal assistance, and you don’t have to pay it back. Contact us to discover how flood insurance helps more.
